The Sandifer Funeral Home of Westminster, S.C., Oconee County's one of the oldest family ownership funeral home has continuously served the people of this area for over half a century. Cecil T. and Frances B. Sandifer purchased this historical home that was constructed in 1875. It was then converted into a funeral home in the early 1950's, where they raised seven children.

The business has enjoyed a continuous growth and expansion from the day of inception and presently occupies an 18,000 square ft. building and adjoining 1 acre parking facilities. All interior and exterior renovation is in keeping with the warmth and historical values that has existed though the years. The front porch is a welcome to many who enjoy being outside and restful conversation.

The funeral home has a beautiful chapel and chandeliers with seating capacity of over 200. It is also equipped with state of art audio and video capabilities. The funeral home has five parlors or visitation rooms, beautifully decorated with antique & conventional furniture in keeping with the historical values of the original architecture design and decor.


In 1996 Sandy and Peggy Sandifer formed Heritage Memorial Gardens, Inc. Heritage is an 87 acre tract of land located on scenic Highway 11 overlooking the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Heritage offers traditional ground burial as well as a 1264 crypt mausoleum.

During the 2001 renovations of the funeral home, Sandifer Funeral Home founded Oconee Cremation Services, Inc. With the addition of an on-site crematory, Sandifer Funeral Home became Oconee County's only full service funeral home, cemetery and crematory. In Sept. of 2017, Mr. Cecil Sandifer, Sr. and Jr. implemented their succession plan by entrusting their ownership to business to, Brian Allen and his family to carry out the legacy of the business.
