Obituary for Charlene Glenn Herring

CHARLENE GLENN HERRING

Fair Play –Charlene Glenn Herring, 87, wife of the late Levis Wilson Herring, of 611 Hwy 182, passed away Monday April 30, 2018 at Seneca Health and Rehab.

Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lula Johnson Glenn. Mrs. Herring was a retired nurse and worked at the Mays Clinic for many years and was a member of the Beaverdam Baptist Church of Fair Play, SC.

Survivors include sons, David Wilson Herring (Kathie) of Fair Play and Rickey Levis Herring (Leshia) of Fair Play; grandchildren Elijah “Eli”, Dylan and Gracie; and two great-grandchildren, Beckett and Isaac.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Harmon “Buck” Glenn and Roy Glenn; sisters, Madgie Glenn, Eunice Glenn, Mae G. Durham, and Doris G Head.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Beaverdam Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm, prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beaverdam Baptist Church Youth Program, 328 Beaverdam Church Road, Fair Play, SC 29643. The family is at their respective homes. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com
