Obituary for Cora Elizabeth Madden

CORA MADDEN

Seneca – Cora Elizabeth Madden, 78, wife of Ivan Milton Madden, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Lila Doyle Nursing Care.

A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Bertha O’Bryant Patterson. Mrs. Madden worked in the Textile Industry and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors in addition to her husband include daughters, Linda Collins (Greg) of Westminster, Robin Lay (Mike) of Seneca, and Becky Emerson (Greg) of Seneca; stepson, Gary Madden of Anderson; stepdaughter, Karen O’Kelley (Danny) of Westminster; brothers, Jesse and George Patterson both of Seneca; sisters, Nancy Alexander of Pendleton, and Rose Little of Seneca; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughters, Vicki Holbrooks, Gail Graham, and Lola Gorce; stepdaughters, Patricia Neighbors; grandsons, Robert J. and Joshua T. Grant; nine brothers; and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
