EVELYN HUGHES

Westminster - Evelyn King Hughes, 80, widow of the late Joe Welborn Hughes, 1210 West Oak Highway, passed away Friday, February 09, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Myra Cole King. Mrs. Hughes retired from Jantzen and was a member of Westminster First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Lesa Wike of Westminster and Lori Freeman (Richard Jack) of Hickory, NC; brother, Donnie King; sisters, Mary Hix, Vera Lee, and Jo Miller; and three grandchildren, John Tanner Wike, Joseph Hayden Wike and Ashleigh Joe Freeman,

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, James, Billy, Harold, Alvin, Frank, and Ralph King; and sisters, Ovaline Wilson and Gerry Edwards.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Monday, February 12, 2018 at Westminster First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2 pm, prior to the service at Westminster First Baptist Church.
