Obituary for Geneva Pelfrey

GENEVA PELFREY

Westminster - Geneva Burton Pelfrey, 94, widower of the late Reed Pelfrey, 420 Anderson Avenue, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at her residence.

A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Robert T. and Effie Dickson Burton. Mrs. Pelfrey was a retired school teacher from the School District of Oconee County and a charter member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Butts (Jerrie) of Westminster; and two grandchildren, Codi Butts and Taylor Butts. Mrs. Pelfrey was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Woodrow, Amos and Charles Burton; and sisters, Nora Whitman and Mae Butts.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to her caregivers, Patt Bibb, Jackie James and Frances Belk for all the care given to Mrs. Pelfrey.

A funeral service will be held 4 pm, Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will follow in First Baptist Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
