Obituary for Mackie Ann Cox


Seneca - Mackie Ann Minton Cox, 78, widow of the late Theo Ralph Cox, Sr., passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Clayton and Florence Moore Minton. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and a member of Seneca Baptist Church where she was a member of the Esther Sunday School Class. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #5.

Survivors include a son, Ralph Cox (Gail) of Seneca; daughters, Reta Conn (Michael) of Greenwood, IN, Andrea Cooper (David) of Rock Hill, and Mitzi Tannery (Mark) of Seneca; and eight grandchildren, Forrest Cox, Connor Cox, Caroline Cooper Hamilton (Luke), Clay Cooper, and Caleb, Emily, Addie and Allie Tannery.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Conn.

A funeral service will be held 11 am, Monday, February 12, 2018 at Seneca Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm, Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
