Obituary for Frances Evelyn Smith Capps

November 26, 1931 – November 17, 2018

After a lengthy illness, Frances Evelyn Capps, wife of the late Charlie U. Capps, passed away quietly at Oconee Memorial Hospital with family at her side.

Before becoming ill, she was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Seneca, SC.

She was survived by five children, Charlie Daniel Capps (Seneca, SC), Linda Moore (Liberty, SC), Janice Crook (Seneca, SC), Gale Keck (Anderson, SC), and Barbara Capps of the home. She was survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, in addition to one sister, Sue Duckett (Anderson, SC).

She was preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Ethel Smith, daughter Patricia Capps; brother Ralph Smith; sisters Elizabeth Broome and Nancy Rholetter.

Per her request, a private service with Reverend Billy Bates presiding was held on November 20, 2018, burial at Oconee Memorial Park.

She will be remembered as a kind beautiful soul, loving wife, and mother, with an exceptional talent at making a house a home and family gatherings memories to be cherished.

The family finds solace in the knowledge of her Christian faith and knowing that she has simply taken one step forward in God’s Master Plan.
