Obituary for John Henry McAlister

JOHN HENRY MCALISTER

Fairplay – John Henry McAlister, 68, widower of the late Glenna Ruth Gilliam McAlister, of 470 Wilderness Road, passed away, July 17, 2019 at Cottingham Hospice House.

Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Bill Bailey McAlister and Coney Maggie Lee Clark McAlister. Mr. McAlister was retired from the City of Seneca, where he worked as a Supervisor and was of the Holiness Faith.

Survivors include daughter, Sheri Denise Lanning; two grandchildren, Austin Lanning and Emma Black.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, July 19, 2019 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm, prior to the service.
