NELL COBB

West Union – Nell Jeane Long Cobb, 88, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Lila Doyle Nursing Care.

Born in Estill, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Henry and Mertie Wynn Long and retired from Walhalla Garment Company.

Survivors include a son, James Larry Cobb of Westminster; daughters, Carolyn Blackey of Seneca, Judy Morton of Seneca, Sandra Patterson of Anderson and Elaine Duncan of Mt. Rest; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, George Tommy Cobb; grandchildren, James Anthony Cobb, Matthew Hunt and Jun Jarrod Cobb; and sisters, Hazel Lanier, Hattie Mae Warren, Iva Lee Drawdy and Irene Cook.

A funeral service will be held 4:30 PM, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
